Running Ventures Events
Running Ventures owns and present four signature events annually: Cinco de Mayo 8K on the first Saturday in May, Independence Races held on the first Saturday in July, the Richard A Hoska Midsummer Mile Run in July, and the Drumstick Dash 10K, a great Thanksgiving Day tradition. With these events Running Ventures strives to provide a great race experience for everyone, from novice to racer, with professional management, individual chip timing, and lots of fun for all. In addition, Running Ventures works with many other events throughout the year providing race management and timing services. Here also the focus of Running Ventures is on providing quality, professional services to ensure all goes smoothly and each participant is ready to come back next year.

Liz Logelin Foundation - Run, Walk, Hope 5K/10K • June 8, 2013
The Liz Logelin Foundation was established to give hope to widows and widowers with young families. The organization is dedicated to providing support to grief- stricken young families in their time of deepest need. When a parent dies the financial burden can be huge. The LLF awards monetary grants to meet families’ emotional and financial short-term needs. Proceeds from the event, which includes a Kid's One Mile, 5K and 10K, go to support this mission.

Blaine Lakes 8K • June 30, 2013
This race is now a part of the annual Blaine Festival. Race is run on a USATF certified course. Event also includes a Kids Run.

Independence Day Races • July 6, 2013
Signature Event
The 5th Annual Independence Day Races are presented by Running Ventures each year on the first Saturday of July. Held at Lake Harriet, you have the freedom to choose - one lap or two! Fairly flat 5K (one lap) and 10K (two laps) courses provide a great opportunity to put a spark in your running season. Cool down after the race with patriotic popsicles! The event offers a technical short sleeve shirt, Championchip timing, and cash awards to overall winners in the 10K.

Richard A Hoska Midsummer Mile Run • July 10, 2013
Signature Event
New name, new location - formerly the Rice Street Mile. The race is moving to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in 2013. We have a new two loop course - still flat and fast, lots of free parking, easy access from Minneapolis and St. Paul, and best of all, a new POST RACE PARTY! Don't miss this fun filled one mile event followed by a post race party at O'Gara's at the Fair.

Started by an Eden Prairie teenager, Anxiety In Teens is here to serve as a resource for youth with mental health disorders & their friends and families- a special place where teens can be themselves, learn from peers and expert, stay up to date on mental health news, and carry a whole-mind-and-body wellness lifestyle.

St. Michael Twi-Knight 8K • August 3, 2013
Race starts and finishes at the St. Michael Recreation Center. This is an evening event with race time at 6:45 p.m. Race is sponsored by Minnesota National Guard and the event also is serving as an Hanover Food Shelf Drop-Off Site. Items most needed include canned goods, cereal, toilet paper and shampoo.
